The Learning Room is an experiential learning environment designed to help children with intellectual disabilities develop basic life skills. It is a versatile, immersive, and interactive system that can be easily integrated into special schools, rehabilitation centres, and special-needs educational institutions.

The Learning Room utilizes advanced projection technology and interactive software to create realistic simulations of various real-world situations. Children can engage with these scenarios to learn and practice essential life skills in a safe and controlled environment, under the supervision of trained professionals.

The Learning Room requires an empty room (at least 10’ x 7’ with a clear height of 12’) with flat white walls. This allows for a fully immersive, 270-degree learning experience.

Children can learn a wide range of basic life skills, such as safety awareness, personal hygiene, communication, money management, time management, social interaction, and problem-solving, among others. The first skill to be offered at launch is Road Safety: Crossing a Road Safely

Yes, The Learning Room is highly customizable to meet the specific needs and learning objectives of each child. Teachers and therapists can modify the scenarios, adjust difficulty levels, and monitor progress to ensure an effective and personalized learning experience.

The Learning Room provides a safe, engaging, and interactive environment for children with intellectual disabilities to learn and practice essential life skills. Yes, The Learning Room is designed to complement and enhance existing curricula and therapeutic interventions, making it a valuable addition to any special-needs educational program.

The Learning Room offers several advantages over other immersive interventions for children with intellectual disabilities:

  • Overcoming VR headset limitations: Through our workshops with special schools, we discovered that VR headsets can be intimidating and trigger claustrophobia for children with intellectual disabilities. This issue often negates the benefits of immersive technology for special education. The Learning Room was designed to address this problem, providing an immersive experience without the need for headsets.
  • Dynamic and safe environment: The Learning Room provides a secure and controlled space for children to practice life skills, minimizing risks and maximizing learning potential.
  • Fully controlled: Teachers and therapists can easily modify the simulations, adjust difficulty levels, and monitor progress, ensuring a tailored learning experience for each child.
  • One space, many scenarios: The Learning Room's versatile design allows for a wide variety of real-world situations to be simulated within a single room, making it a cost-effective and space-efficient solution.
  • Scalable curriculum modules: The Learning Room features a range of curriculum modules that can be adapted to suit the individual needs and learning objectives of each child.
  • Teacher's feedback module: Our integrated feedback system enables teachers to provide immediate, constructive feedback to students, reinforcing learning outcomes and promoting skill development.
  • Decision-based journey: The Learning Room's simulations are structured around decision-making, encouraging children to think critically, problem-solve, and develop their decision-making skills in a safe environment.
  • Attractive graphics: The Learning Room's engaging visuals and interactive elements capture children's attention and keep them motivated throughout the learning process.
